OPEN CALL SIMPÓSIO ARTE E ANIMAÇÃO – 6 de novembro de 2023

No ano que se celebram 100 anos da exibição da primeira curta-metragem de animação portuguesa, O pesadelo de António Maria, de Joaquim Guerreiro, a Casa da Animação retoma a organização do Simpósio Arte e Animação. A 3ª edição do Simpósio centrar-se-á na animação portuguesa e terá lugar no Porto em dezembro no Batalha Centro de Cinema numa data a anunciar. Pretende-se abrir um espaço de discussão entre os profissionais e académicos da área da animação, com o objetivo de pensar a multiplicidade de manifestações nos primeiros cem anos e delinear estratégias e posicionamentos para o futuro da animação portuguesa.

SUBMISSÃO DE TRABALHOS

A chamada foca-se nas múltiplas dimensões do cinema de animação português. Os trabalhos deverão ser entregues idealmente em língua portuguesa, com possibilidade de envio em inglês e espanhol.

Os trabalhos deverão ter entre 6000 a 10.000 palavras, excluindo referências.

Os artigos deverão ser enviados juntamente com a declaração de copyright para o email direcao@casa-da-animacao.pt

O artigo deverá incluir:

- O título da apresentação
- O nome dos autores, afiliações e contactos
- Abstract, 250-400 palavras
- Keywords
- Referências bibliográficas
- Biografia do Autor (máximo 200 palavras)

OPEN CALL SYMPOSIUM – ART AND ANIMATION – NOVEMBER 6TH 2023

In the year that celebrates the 100th anniversary of the screening of the first Portuguese animated short film, O pesadelo de António Maria, by Joaquim Guerreiro, Casa da Animação resumes the organization of the Art and Animation Symposium. The 3rd edition of the Symposium will focus on Portuguese animation and will take place in Porto in December at Batalha Centro de Cinema on a date to be announced. It aims to open a space for discussion among professionals and academics in the field of animation, with the aim of thinking about the multiplicity of manifestations in the first hundred years and outlining strategies and positions for the future of Portuguese animation.

CALL FOR PAPERS

We invite professionals and theorists to consider the following themes:

History of Portuguese animation
Analysis of works and/or authors

Teaching Animation.
Portuguese animation in the world
Themes explored in the works
Production
Distribution
Techniques

SUBMISSION OF WORKS

The call focuses on the multiple dimensions of Portuguese animation cinema. Papers should ideally be submitted in Portuguese, with the possibility of submitting in English and Spanish.

COPYRIGHT AGREEMENT

Papers should be between 6000 and 10,000 words, excluding references.
